i'm runningrunningrunning....

two races to tell you about....
"in running, it doesn't matter whether you come in first, in the middle of the pack, or last. you can say, 'i have finished.' there is a lot of satisfaction in that."
fred lebow, founder of the new york city marathon
saturday was the ogden marathon and half marathon.
there is a lot of satisfaction in finishing a race.
there is magic in running.....for me, my run begins the moment i forget i am running. some call it the runner's high...the zone...i call it magic! in this race it happened for me at the 3 mile marker. the hill was behind me, the canyon in front of me, i could feel my body and mind switch on to auto pilot...love that feeling! I can't explain it, it is something you have to experience.

the saturday before was 'race for the cure'
i ran that for a completely different reason.
this race wasn't about me...or beating a time....
it was about mothers...daughters....sisters....friends
it was about celebration...memories....and hope....
